The groom ( svakhy ) and his family give gifts to the bride’s family in accordance with custom. The recipient’s name is called out when the best man distributes the offers. Gifts that represent passion and infinity selection from a liquor chalice for eucharist to embroidered rushnyky.

The starosty, which are two friends or family members ( one from each area) who serve as masters of ceremonies, preside the Ukrainian bride service. They even introduce the few to the church, bring the couple’s Virgin Mary and jesus icons into the company, and observe the union.
